Spread 4: CELTIC CROSS SPREAD

This spread provides more in-depth analysis of a complex situation and is often used by experienced readers. With practice, it can offer deeper insights and connect the dots between each card. Consider the correlation between your future and outcome card and the advice card, and how they can affect the outcome of your situation. Also, look at how the above and below cards complement each other and how the above and outcome cards align.

ALT TEXT: Ten cards arranged with a cross shape in the middle representing THE PRESENT and THE CHALLENGE. The next card is on the left is the THE PART which informs the situation. The ADVICE card is at the bottom which helps you approach your situation. Directly above this is EXTERNAL FORCES that shows you what is beyond your control, followed by HOPES & FEARS which reveals what you are hiding from and how you can create an optimal outcome. How Do You Initiate & Care For Your Deck?

When you open your deck, take time to study the imagery and listen to the guide to familiarise yourself with the meaning of the cards. Take note of the cards that you are most attracted to and what they mean - this could be the universe giving you a sign.

Every time you shuffle your cards, you'll need to cleanse them properly. This involves removing stagnant energy by simply knocking on the deck to provide a clearer perspective on your question.

Before being dispatched, all of the cards have been lovingly cleansed using reiki and crystal healing. However, as you continue to use them, you'll need to cleanse them regularly using the following techniques:

  1. Burn incense around the deck and set an intention.

  2. Lay out crystals around or on top of the deck, such as amethyst, clear quartz or black tourmaline for a few minutes.

  3. Visualise positive energy and white light entering the deck by simply closing your eyes and meditating.

While you’re a beginner, it’ll take time for you to feel in-tune with your deck, so ensure that you practice in a quiet space where you feel safe and comfortable. You can do readings on any surface, and it's useful to note any repeat cards you receive. Remember to store your deck somewhere easily accessible when you need guidance or motivation from the universe. You can also carry a card around to inspire you for the day or week.
